Good News!!.. After so many days of filling up applications for jobs.. I have finally got a job as a hostess at Sister of Merci.. I love the work... Dancing.. Chatting... making people feel at ease.. its so much fun.. I just finished my first shift yesterday.. :).. I get a salary of L$100+tips..:D..The club is a females only one though..

Another thing is I get to teach building classes at Crated Classes. Crated Classes are paid building tutorials owned by my friend, Razz Jessop.. She conducts free and paid classes.. I need to get my class notes ready soon..I don't find enough time to do it and also my net connection has been crappy at best. I get paid 50% of the tips.. I love the job here not because of the pay, but because of the opportunity to learn:).. The New Year starts with a bang for me in SL.. Hope this continues:)..

You make money in Second Life as in Real life , working.. but newbies less than a month old don't find jobs easily. Most people recruit avatars at least one month old.. So one way of making few bucks at the beginning is by camping.. It doesn't make much.. but it is nice to have something rather than nothing in your wallet :).. ahem I mean virtual wallet of course..I have been scouting around for good paying camping spots.. and did find few but they tend to disappear after sometime .. grrr :(..

Anyway these are the ones I do frequent and are available right now (It sure works when I visit the places :))..

Loans

This is one of my favorite ones.. You can easily guess why.. Its the best deal I have seen till now in Second Life (as far as I have explored anyway) :).. You earn here by dancing on pads and rates vary from L$1 to L$8 per 10 to 20 minutes. And one drawback is you can't use again the dance pad you have just been paid by for next 24 hours.


Viper Skins

Here you need to just log in the camping board and you earn L$2 per 15 minutes as long as you are within 90 meters of the board. The maximum amount you can make is L$30. I use this place only when I need some time to clean up my inventory a bit:)... I park myself there and go through my closet..Camping sure has its uses (other than the obvious) :D..When you need to go just log out by touching the board again.The area is a Mature one. So advance warning.


September Rain

Ahh.. when you get to the Cafe you get a notecard clearing explaining its rules. You earn L$1 per 10 minutes. The following information I have taken from their Notecard. But one thing... you can explore the whole sim, shop, meditate, chill out and dance and meet people while earning money here:).. thats what I call a cool deal :D

Thank you for Camping at ~September Rain~ a couple things to note


1. With this camping system you are able to freely roam the sim and explore, dance, and shop while earning money doing so. so first and foremost please ENJOY ~September Rain~

2. If you leave the sim, you will automatically be logged out of this system and payed

3. To manually log out simply return to the Cafe and click the board again.

4. Please do not "double-dip" which means you are logged onto this system and also sitting in a camping chair. Failure to abide by this rule will result in banning you from the camping system

5. This system has an "anti-AFK" system that will randomly ask you questions that you must answer to continue to be logged in and making money. If you wish to camp and be AFK that is fine but please use the CAFE TABLE CAMPERS and not this system.

All the camping places I have listed above don't need you to join a group.There are many others I have seen which require joining groups. My groups list is always full so I don't generally use those kind of places :)..

As a newbie I was anxious to spruce up my wardrobe.. but without any money :).. And thats hard in SL as in RL.. So I went on a freebie hunt.. and this search is continuing even now :)..

Free Dove
All free stuff here (only L$0) including clothes, accessories, avatars for men and women. I found few cool goodies here :)...The place is worth visiting.

Milky 9
Wow.. this is a huge place.. But stores are also present .. those are the ones boxing in the freebie area. You have got 2 floors worth of stuff here and on the third floor you have the changing room I believe. The floor plan is available in the center so its pretty to navigate to find specific items..Whatever you want you can get it here.. But it takes time rez.

Freebie Dungeon
This place is aptly named... Boxes full of avatars, skins, shapes,clothes,textures,furniture,buildings and the list goes on.. My friend Rapture introduced me to this place and I should say I felt like Christmas had come early for me :D..

There are a couple more places but mostly the free items get repeated.. I visit every last one of them to see if any new item has been added.. And beware of griefers at all times..

I couldn't post earlier due to work in RL.. I want to talk about Dreamland.. I came across their main office RGF quite by chance.. And that was one of my luckiest moments.. They had a Newbie program to give a house and conduct classes for new comers.. The sim dedicated to this venture, Dreamland has filled up and they are not accepting any more new persons now.

While I was around 2 weeks old I got into their Learn Avatar program and maintained a house till now. I have given back the house allotted to me so that other newbies can benefit from it.

While I used it, it was nice to have a house to come to at the end of RL work :)..

It has been a pretty busy week..what with my building projects on one side and going to classes on the other. But a good productive week, I even had time to spend time with my friends (*smiles), meet other people and make new friends and discover new places.

I absolutely loved going to classes. They have been pretty informative and fun. If only the RL classes were so fun :-(.. Anyway speaking of classes,I first attended basic Scripting Class by NCI. It was Protomas Ludwig who took the class.. And it was a clear and concise one. All the fundamentals were taken care of, though it could have been better. I tried attending an Animation class but my luck was too good to be true. I got disconnected.. again (*frowns).

So I was searching around for another basic Scripting class and came across Sunbelt university. For independent thinkers this is the best class.. Because Loris Talon who took the class started explaining from scratch. This was way better than NCI. But unfortunately I got disconnected towards the end of the class so don't know how it ended. I have to ask my friend Carma who also was in the class :)..

Ahh.. I completely forgot about the Prim skirt class. This one is also by NCI. We were taught how to make a skirt using prims involving flexible properties though it didn't explain about them.
Three classes so far not bad. Have to look around for more classes. I like to putter around and at the same time I like to go to classes since there you get to learn few extra tips and tricks you may have missed earlier while practicing on your own.

I am going to start a post-a-thon to see whether I can post at least one post per day. We will see how it goes. Have a great day :)..See ya for the next round.. *Waves..

I just missed the deadline by a second.. Even if I had been ab bit late I couldn't have posted the last one.. I got disconnected yet again. You know I was talking about my obsession.
Right now it is building. I love playing around with the basic prim shapes and am having fun to figure out new shapes to fashion furniture. I first completed the sofa of the set and I have used dark colors. I like the effect it has on the design. I should have completed the entire set yesterday. But because of this crappy net connection it took me additional 24 hours to finish it. I feel the finished product is not so bad for a noob builder even if I say so myself (*grins). I am planning to continue with a basic chair and a frame to complete my first week of building.. And then I have to try out few more shapes which can be used for simple and cool designs. I have named this set Torrie Living Room Set. My friend Rex told me that the design reminds him of Victorian setting.. I found that a nice name for the set. I dont know much about Period furniture :)... I gave a copy of the sofa alone to Razz for one of her tutorials. She said that she will include it in her tutorials as soon as she finishes writing up the notes for the class. I asked her whether I can include this set in my collection when I open my shop.. I do intend to have a furniture shop in SL, maybe not now but in the far future :P.. she told me that I can sell it even if she has it in her tutorials.. I have to think about it.. Anyway by the time I open the shop I may change my mind and exclude it.. You will know all about my daydreams later.. (Don't know whether I will be able to do it but its nice planning it :)..)

I just looked at my first post .. I think no one can see me clearly in the pic.. I am there, dancing on one of the L$10 dance pads..I am the one towards you guys. Anyway let me look in my collection of photos and see whether I have a closeup pic.. Yep found one.. Here you go..That is a
recent pic of me taken just 3 days back.. I look better in this one because I had a major makeover.. just changed my skin and hair.. That's the hair I got from Gurlywood using the newbie voucher. If you are less than 4 weeks old you can use the voucher and get a hair piece free, even one of the expensive ones :).. You can get the voucher near the entrance of the shop itself (its to your left as soon as you enter the shop).. I haven't figured out how to get the slurl of a place.. So please be patient ..as soon as I learn that technique (*winks), I will post it here so you can know slurl.. Else you can use Search feature. Type in Gurlywood in Places tab of Search and you can teleport there directly. As I was saying, I just madeover myself.. with a little bit of help from freebie stores all over SL.. (*gives a kiss for each and every freebie store owner).. I may change my look in the near future.. But I will not change my shape because I loove my shape.. I am very much comfortable with me and myself. I have bored you guys.. Hmm... anyway I better post this one quickly else the net connection may intrude and I may lose this post.. Then I have to type the entire thing again.. (*frowns)..

Hi guys I am zanna Mirajkar.. This blog is about my second life .. what I do and who my friends are .. which are my hangouts.. my resource places... especially about FREEBIES.. and about my obsession in Second Life( don't worry its not you)...

Ok thats all about SL (at present).. I am a 21 year woman (I tend to think myself as a girl still).. I am a student :) so have lots of time to spend inworld.. Ok now back to SL.. I am right now obsessed with building.. I have just started learning building basics and I am getting lots of practice.. I have been so immersed in it for the past few days I have been ignoring my friends.. Sorry guys bear up with me :P..

I have been in world for the past 18 or 19 days I think.. I always get confused with SL date and time.. Anyway I was born :) mind you BORN on 31/10/2008.. Thats exactly a day after my RL birthday :P.. I am a girl next door avatar.. and dont even remind me of how I was during my first 4 days.. Now I am more sophisticated.. ok maybe not so much but I am improving.. I swear ;-)..

The pic you see over there at the top... that is the one taken after my first makeover .. nothing major.. I was just learning to edit my appearance.. And look at the result..I had two hair pieces on and I didnt even realize it until way later (*blushes).. Anyway it looked like a single one so no one noticed...Wondering what place is that?.. It was my favourite hangout then.. now I dont even go there.. Its the Job Island.. I will talk about the place in one of my later posts..
